Introduction:

In 2022, I designed and executed a modern-style apartment measuring 220 square meters with three bedrooms. The newly-built apartment utilized matte gray MDF, natural oak wood, and marble-patterned porcelain as per the client’s request. A key challenge was creating a hidden workspace for the client, a pastry chef, that would accommodate all her tools. After consulting with her for design specifics, we designed a large cabinet with an 80 cm depth at the kitchen’s end for her workstation. The cabinet features retractable doors that neatly fold away when in use. Additionally, the kitchen island provides seating and storage space for the home.

Structure and Design Process:

This project was referred to our team before the installation phase, which is the best possible stage. After visiting the project site and assessing the client’s needs, initial steps for the design were taken. Within three days, the initial design concept and layout were created using AutoCAD. Following a face-to-face meeting with the client and necessary reviews, the project moved into the 3D modeling phase. The modeling was completed in 3ds Max, and rendering was done using the V-Ray plugin. Again, we had a discussion with the client regarding the design during another meeting. After final approval and providing a list of execution costs and materials for purchase, followed by further client approval, the project moved to the execution phase after one week.
